APPLICATIONS DUE APRIL 30, 2012!
Logan CDC is working with Rebuilding Together Philadelphia (RTP) to collect applications in hopes to bring a Block Build to Logan during the 2012-2013 program year. This highly competitive program is an opportunity to revitalize a block. If a block in Logan is chosen, it would provide 5 or more homeowners on the block with much needed home repairs and weatherization services.
Block Builds are a communal effort, requiring applications from multiple property owners on one block. Volunteers of RTP and community members work to complete the repairs over multiple days culminating in a final celebration. Block Builds often include landscaping and sidewalk beautification. Let’s all work together to make the best case for Logan!
If you believe your block or home could in need of such repairs, complete 4 simple steps:
- Fill out an application! You can download it here or on RTP’s website, or stop by the Logan CDC locations to pick up a paper copy.
- Reach out to your neighbors! Publicize the program and tell them how to get involved as well.
- Contact Logan CDC for assistance! We are willing to help block captains and community leaders go door to door, flyer, and distribute information to their neighbors. Contact Tya Winn, Real Estate Coordinator at (215) 302-1604, ext. 101.
- Turn in your application! The more applications we have, the better case we can make that there is interest and need in Logan, which could influence quicker response.
